IEEE VR 2004

Rutopia virtual reality art project was exhibited on a 2000 lumen projector CAVE during the VR Open House at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) running in conjunction with the IEEE VR 2004 conference. On exhibit were various scientific and artistic applications running on EVL-invented display systems, including PARIS, GeoWall, C-Wall, CAVE and the Varrier autostereo system.

IEEE VR is the premier international conference and exhibition in virtual reality. I organized the networked virtual art exhibition during the VR Open House featuring several virtual reality artwork applications running on EVL-invented VR display systems, including C-Wall and a CAVE. The network connection was organized between the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) UIC Chicago (IL), The State University of New York at Buffalo (NY), Indiana University Bloomington (IN), Interactive Institute, Tools for Creative Studio Umea (Sweden) and Applied Interactives Gallery Chicago (IL).
