Hearts and Minds: The Interrogations Project was an invited presentation for the HASTAC Forum and Challenges of Virtual Reality Art Exhibition panel. The performance was in the 1500-seat Michigan State University theater followed by a discussion and a moderated panel after. The presentation explored the aesthetic possibilities of new visualization technology, confronted some terrible truths about prominence and alarming regularity of sanctioned torture and provided a platform for discussion about military interrogation methods and their effects on detainees, soldiers, and society.

HASTAC (Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Alliance Conference) challenged participants to consider how the interplay of science, technology, social sciences, humanities, and arts are producing new forms of knowledge, disrupting older forms, challenging or reifying power relationships.
